About
Lilian has been practicing law since 2008, with a focus in business litigation, general civil litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, appellate advocacy, and wills and trust. She also has extensive experience representing clients at various stages of litigation, from negotiations to appeals.
Prior to joining Nichani Law Firm, Lilian has twelve-plus years of experience as senior attorney for David Burchard, the chapter 13 trustee, whose jurisdiction includes all cities and counties of San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, and Santa Rosa through Eureka. Lilian is also currently working as a consultant attorney for Russell D. Greer, the chapter 13 trustee for Modesto and Sacramento counties. Through her representation of trustees, she has successfully won multiple trials and appellate cases.
Lilian is passionate about increasing equality and legal access for minorities, immigrants, and women. Throughout her college years, she was an active volunteer for the Asian Women Shelter, a Bay Area non-profit that sheltered and assisted Asian women and their children, who were victims of domestic violence. During law school, she interned for the San Mateo District Attorney’s Office, clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office in San Francisco, and externed for two magistrate judges in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Lilian earned her J.D. from UC Hastings, now named as UC College of the Law, San Francisco. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Legal Studies and Political Economy from UC Berkeley.
